Very good recipe. I liked the way it presents in a glass dish with the layers, but it is difficult to get you chip through all of the layers. If you do prepare it this way, I suggest using a spoon to serve. Next time I will try making it in a 9x13 pan. I added a layer of store bought guacamole and used seasoned refried beans.

I loved this dip, didn't change a thing. It was very addicting. Once I started eating it I couldn't stop. I will be making it all the time now.

mmmmm..I loved this. I left out the salsa and lettuce and peppers and just sprinkled the taco seasoning over the beans. Quick, easy and delicious!

This was popular although it was very heavy on the cream cheese/sour cream. I would recommend making doubling the beans and leaving all the rest of the ingredients the same, including the seasoning. I left off the lettuce and it was great without!

Everyone at the dinner party raved about how wonderful this was but they barely made a dent in it. I thought it was wonderful. However, it made way too much and I am not sure how you could cut it down. I liked the lettuce on there when it was fresh but by the time we were eating leftovers (which there were a lot of them), the lettuce was a little bit nasty. I would suggest leaving it off.

this recipe only lasted a few hours at my new year's party. it was hands-down the favorite food there! i made it with 'light' sour cream, and no one noticed. i am making it again for a party tonight, i am plan on adding tomatillo-guacamole in place of the lettuce for more flavor. i might also add some jalepanos for more heat. i did not have trouble with the dip being watery, as some reviewers noted. i used a natural brand salsa.

Followed the recipe exactly. We took other readers' suggestions and put this in the oven for about 20 minutes, and it was spectacular!!! Our guests raved about it, and we will be bringing it to parties in the future.

This is my first time doing a review and this recipe deserves my 5 stars!! Everything in the recipe just goes together so well. I took this dish to a New Years Eve party and it was a BIG hit. Everyone was coming up to me telling me they loved it and how good it was. I did NOT alter the recipe at all. There is no need to. It is great the way it is! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe! I will be making this again for sure!

My husband saw something like this in the store so I told him I would make it for him. I found this recipe and decided to try it. He loves it! And so do I. It's really good and wasn't hard to make at all. I had some left over chopped up onions so I added them in and thought about adding mex. rice but didn't have any on hand. Definately will be making this again!

This is a very easy recipe. I basically followed it exactly except I used two packets of taco seasoning. The first one I used as the recipe states and mixed it with the refried beans. The second package I mixed in with the sour cream and cream cheese. I think it added a little more of a taco flavor. Everyone loved it and it was devoured in no time!
